Mary, Queen of Scots (1542–1587) became Queen of Scotland when she was only six days old. Raised partly at the French court, she later became Queen Consort of France through her marriage to Francis II before returning to Scotland.
Her turbulent reign, rivalry with Elizabeth I of England, years of imprisonment and eventual execution at Fotheringhay Castle made Mary one of the most famous royal figures of the 16th century.
A beautiful centrepiece for collectors interested in Mary Stuart, Scottish history, Tudor history, Renaissance royalty and historical queens.
