Ivar the Boneless was a famous Viking leader active during the 9th century and is traditionally identified as one of the sons of the legendary Ragnar Lodbrok.

Ivar is closely associated with the Great Heathen Army, the enormous Viking force that invaded Anglo-Saxon England in 865. He and his fellow Viking leaders campaigned against several English kingdoms and played a major role in the capture of York in 866.

The exact origin of Ivar's unusual nickname remains uncertain, and separating the historical warrior from later Norse legend can be difficult. Nevertheless, he became one of the most famous Viking figures associated with the Scandinavian invasions of Britain.

A dramatic collectible for fans of Ivar the Boneless, Viking history, Norse warriors, the Great Heathen Army and medieval history.
