Harald Hardrada (c. 1015–1066) was King of Norway and one of the most famous warriors of the late Viking Age. Before becoming king, Harald travelled widely and served in the Varangian Guard of the Byzantine Empire, gaining considerable military experience and wealth.

In 1066, Harald invaded England and defeated an English army at the Battle of Fulford. His campaign ended shortly afterwards at the Battle of Stamford Bridge, where his forces were defeated by King Harold Godwinson and Harald was killed.

His death is often regarded as marking the symbolic end of the Viking Age.

A powerful centrepiece for collectors interested in Vikings, Norse history, Harald Hardrada, medieval warfare, Scandinavian history and legendary historical warriors.
