Flavius Belisarius was one of the most celebrated generals of the Byzantine emperor Justinian I. During the 6th century, he commanded campaigns against the Vandals, Ostrogoths and other enemies of the empire, helping reconquer significant territories around the Mediterranean.
His victories in North Africa and Italy, together with his remarkable military career, earned him a reputation as one of the final great commanders of the Roman military tradition.
A striking piece for collectors of Byzantine history, Ancient Rome, the Eastern Roman Empire, Justinian and legendary historical commanders.
