Marcus Licinius Crassus (c. 115–53 BC) was a Roman general, politician and one of the wealthiest men in Roman history. Alongside Julius Caesar and Pompey the Great, he formed the political alliance now known as the First Triumvirate.
Crassus also played a major military role in suppressing the slave revolt led by Spartacus. His final campaign against the Parthian Empire ended disastrously at the Battle of Carrhae in 53 BC, where Crassus was killed.
A striking collector's piece for enthusiasts of Ancient Rome, Roman generals, the Roman Republic, Julius Caesar and military history.
