Sisi is portrayed in an elegant ivory-white imperial gown, richly decorated with floral embroidery and delicate fabric details. Her most famous feature — her extraordinarily long chestnut hair — cascades almost to the ground in elaborate curls, decorated with small white flowers.

She carries a delicate fan and stands beside a classical flower arrangement filled with white roses. The ornate ivory and gold imperial base, finished with a crown at the centre, completes the luxurious Habsburg-inspired presentation.

Empress Elisabeth of Austria (1837–1898), affectionately known as Sisi, became Empress of Austria following her marriage to Emperor Franz Joseph I in 1854. She later became Queen of Hungary following the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867.

Famous throughout Europe for her beauty, exceptionally long hair and elaborate beauty routines, Elisabeth developed an enduring public image that has survived far beyond her lifetime. Behind the glamorous imperial image, however, was an independent and unconventional woman who often struggled with the restrictions and ceremonies of the Habsburg court.

Her remarkable life, distinctive appearance and tragic death have made Empress Sisi one of the most recognisable royal women of 19th-century Europe.

A beautiful collector's piece for admirers of Empress Sisi, Austrian history, the Habsburg dynasty, Victorian-era fashion, European royalty and historical women.
