Edward of Woodstock (1330–1376), better known as the Black Prince, was the eldest son of King Edward III of England and one of the most renowned military commanders of the Hundred Years’ War. He achieved fame at the Battle of Crécy in 1346 and later commanded the English victory at Poitiers in 1356, where King John II of France was captured.

Despite being heir to the English throne, Edward died one year before his father and therefore never became king. His son would later succeed Edward III as Richard II.

A magnificent collector’s piece for enthusiasts of medieval England, the Plantagenets, the Hundred Years’ War, medieval knights, cavalry and historical figurines.
